Whoopi Goldberg Responds to Beyoncé’s Lack of Nominations for the 2024 CMA Awards: There were no nominations for Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album for the 2024 CMA Awards. Whoopi Goldberg discussed her feelings about this on The View, airing on September 10.

Even for celebrities like Beyoncé, who unexpectedly received no nominations for Cowboy Carter at the upcoming 2024 CMA Awards, most of the time life is unfair. On the September 10 episode of The View, well-known figure Whoopi Goldberg expressed her opinions as the news made headlines.

She noted that a lot of people are astonished, but she’s not sure why. She further remarked, “I don’t think she was snubbed; I think they just didn’t… it wasn’t for them.” With the release of Cowboy Carter on March 29, Beyoncé became the first Black woman to top the Hot Country Albums list and it peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In a same vein, Sunny Hostin, a panelist for Fellow View, expressed her disappointment that Beyoncé was not included in the CMA Awards nominees, especially since Parton had been on Cowboy Carter to present Jolene.

Hostin declared her love for Dolly Patron and her belief that the Queen of Country should be nominated for at least these two albums because she truly rocked the songs “Jolene” and “Texas Hold Em.” Then Hostin said. “But my mother always told me, ‘Find the audience that’s looking for you.’ This audience isn’t looking for her.”

January 2024: Whoopi Goldberg had previously and steadfastly denounced the idea of “snubs” in the entertainment awards and showbiz world. She made a strong point that in the realm of art and creativity, not everyone receives recognition and that the majority of things are subjective.

At the time, Goldberg stated on The View that “movies are subjective.” “The movies you enjoy may not be loved by the people who are voting.”

The ABC broadcast of the 2024 CMA Awards is set for November 20 from 8 to 11 p.m. ET. An intriguing slate of nominees has been unveiled by the award event.

Big names like Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson are at the top of the list for Entertainer of the Year. Presenters and host performers have not yet been revealed! Check back for additional developments in the upcoming weeks.
