Pioneer Mom Ree Drummond assists daughter Paige in selecting her ideal wedding gown: The planning for Ree Drummond’s daughter Paige’s wedding is well underway!
Following news that her youngest daughter, Paige, 25, had become engaged to her one-year boyfriend, David Andersen, on August 4, the Food Network actress, 55, announced on Sunday, September 15, in her Pioneer Woman blog that she had taken Paige, 25 wedding dress shopping.
Ree also posted two photos from the trip to her Instagram Stories. In one picture, Paige was wearing a long white dress and strappy sandals while her mother was dressed in jeans and a white top. The mother and daughter were standing in one of the stores.
The mother of five responded, “Had a really special weekend doing a really special thing!” and included a link to her blog post with the photo.
In a subsequent video, Ree, Paige, Alex Drummond, David’s mother and sister, and the wedding dress shoppers were shown raising their glasses in celebration. “We said yes to the champagne!!” “Chapel of Love” by The Dixie Cups was added to the post by Ree.
Along with posting “Found something really special this weekend!!!” and tagging Warren Barron Bridal in Dallas, Texas—the same place her sister Alex, 27, got her dream dress four years ago—Paige also shared a photo of herself on Instagram Stories holding a “I said ‘yes’ to the dress” sign.
Ree walked her fans through everything while posting several photos from the memorable day on her blog.
“There’s something about wedding dress shopping that feels like an official kickoff!” she said. “We ooohed, ahhhed, sipped champagne, and did all the things we gals do in these kinds of settings.”
“Fortunately, she moved at lightning speed and only lingered on the ones she knew she loved,” Ree said to followers after disclosing Paige had tried on 40 dresses in all. Although I don’t think forty dresses is all that rare, I would have been worn out if I had to get dressed so frequently.”
Paige finally succeeded in “finding the dress of her dreams,” the social media star revealed, but she refrained from revealing which one she ultimately said “yes” to in order to preserve her special moment.
“I swear to you that I will upload a gallery including each and every candidate the week following the May wedding. “I would love to delve into all the options and details and share what I learned—it was such a fun fashion show,” she urged. “For now, I’m just so thrilled for Paige that she found a dress that she absolutely loves and that she feels is right for her.”
In her most recent blog entry, Ree disclosed that she and David had concealed their engagement “for about six weeks” prior to David asking Paige to marry him.
Ree wrote at the top of her Aug. 4 article, “I am so relieved I can finally share this news because the stress was getting to me,” revealing that the couple had become engaged that evening.
Ree posted a carousel of pictures from the proposal to Instagram following the big reveal. “Watching your daughter smile makes you happy! 😊❤️ Best wishes, David and Paige! (This will be enjoyable!) “She wrote as the photo’s caption.
