Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth have a sunny romance: In a charming new romance, Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth exchange passionate feelings.

According to a summary, Lonely Planet tells the tale of an author (Dern) on a writer’s retreat in Morocco whose friendship with a young man (Hemsworth) “evolves into an intoxicating, life-altering love affair.”

In the first teaser, which was made available to the public only, 57-year-old Dern goes through a personal transformation while overcoming writer’s block in stunning Morocco.

“I love that the story focuses on intimacy and connection and feeling truly seen,” Dern tells PERSONS. “It’s a romance of self-discovery as much as it is deeply knowing another person.”

Mr. Hemsworth, 34, concurs. The narrative explores relationship difficulties, personal development, and self-discovery in addition to the romance between the two main characters. The characters navigate the joys and difficulties of love in an aesthetically striking and culturally diverse environment. They are flawed yet relatable.”

Along with calling Dern “incredibly grounded and generous” as a friend and costar, the Australian actress says of Dern, “She has this incredible ability to elevate every scene with her emotional depth, and at the same time she makes the entire set feel collaborative and supportive.”

He continues, saying Lonely Planet “reminded me why I love making films.” “It’s not just for the work itself, but for the bonds you form with people you share that journey with.”

When asked about his best set memory, Dern replies, “Liam feeding me 87 olives and riding on the back of his motorbike.” As she was filming, the Oscar winner claims Hemsworth was “such a protective champion and partner to me.”

Dern also referred to her fictional love connection as “pure magic” in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum.Through our Moroccan experience, Hemsworth “became not only a buddy and a confidant, but our shared longing [for] honesty and intimacy in all relationships was very moving to me.”

Susannah Grant, the author of Erin Brockovich, is the director and writer of Lonely Planet. Diana Silvers, Younès Boucif, Adriano Giannini, and Rachida Brakni are co-stars.

Hemsworth starred in the action-thriller film Land of Bad earlier this year. He will play the lead in Netflix’s drama The Witcher, taking Henry Cavill’s place as Geralt of Rivia. Dern will next be seen in a Noah Baumbach film starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler. She recently starred in and executive produced the Apple TV+ comedy Palm Royale.

Netflix launched Lonely Planet on October 11.
