Kamala Harris Billboards Inspired by Taylor Swift Show up in Las Vegas: Democrats are fully committed to using Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris.
Following the first debate between Vice President Harris and former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, September 10, Swift, 34, formally endorsed Harris in the 2024 presidential contest. The singer’s discography is now being used by the Democratic National Committee to create clever political billboards, which will go up starting this Friday, September 13, in Las Vegas and New York City.
We’re in our Kamala period, a pun on Taylor Swift Eras Tour title, is written on the Times Square digital billboard. Another image with the words “A New Way Forward… Ready for It?” and Swift’s smash song “…Ready for It,” from her 2017 Reputation album, are also included.
The two Taylor Swift-inspired pictures will alternate in the Times Square advertisements, which will be positioned 22 floors above the stairs. (The locations of the NYC advertisements also seem to playfully allude to two of Swift’s popular songs, “22” and “Red,” from her Red album from 2012.)
Two commercials for billboards in Las Vegas are also present. One features a photograph of Harris,59, with the caption, “We’re in our Kamala era,” and the other features a picture of Trump,78, with the caption, “Are you tired of this guy?”
In time for Trump’s next event on September 13, the Las Vegas billboard will be installed on the Las Vegas strip.
DNC communications director Rosemary Boeglin released a statement saying, “We’re reminding voters that it is critical to speak now to dump Trump and enter our Kamala era by visiting IWillVote.com and doing their research on how, where, and when to vote in this election.” “As we drive the contrast between Vice President Harris’ New Way Forward and Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda, which would rip away reproductive rights and rig the economy against working families,” Boeglin said in the statement.
The latest marketing initiatives come after Swift’s endorsement from Tuesday, which she posted on Instagram.
“If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most,” the recipient of a Grammy wrote. “As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.”
Swift then brought up the phony AI pictures that purportedly showed her supporting Trump, who had posted them on Truth Social.
“It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” Swift said. It made me realize that, as a voter, I must be really open about my true intentions for this election. The truth is the most straightforward weapon against false information. said, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.”
Swift tagged her post with the hashtag “Childless Cat Lady,” alluding to contentious remarks made by J.D. Vance, Trump’s running mate, in 2021.
A spokesman for the General Services Administration told Forbes that more than 406,000 individuals registered to vote after Swift’s post.
