Johnny Gaudreau wife Reacts to His Death While Biking: The late hockey player Johnny Gaudreau’s widow has made her first public statement after her husband’s death in a bicycle accident.
Meredith Gaudreau paid homage to her husband as a father and spouse in two Instagram images she shared on Saturday, August 31, in her statement of his passing.
“I am grateful for the most wonderful years of my life. I am still the luckiest girl alive to have been yours, even after losing you. She wrote, “I love you so much,” as the first post’s caption.
Meredith went on, “You were flawless. On certain days, it seemed too lovely to be real. I adore everything about you completely. My eternal companion, I am eager to spend time with you.
She tweeted a carousel of pictures alongside her heartfelt homage to her husband, starting with a picture of herself and Johnny with their two kids and showcasing adorable moments from their time spent together.
Meredith celebrated Johnny’s fatherhood in a follow-up post, calling him the “best partner” to raise a child and mentioning that he was the “best” at putting their little boy to sleep.
“The world’s greatest father hands down. So tender and devoted. The ideal companion to experience motherhood with. She stated, “John was the best at putting the baby to sleep and the apple of Noa’s eye. He never missed an appointment.” I adore how much of his likeness she has. We are heading to make you proud. We love you so so so much daddy.”
Her second homage to her husband featured numerous pictures of Johnny taken over the years with the couple’s kids, Johnny, 7 months, and daughter Noa, who turns 2 in October, on excursions and watching him play hockey.
The NHL player, 31, and his brother, Matthew Gaudreau, 29, perished in a bicycling accident in Oldmans Township, New Jersey, on August 29, which happened near to their Salem County, New Jersey, homeland, PEOPLE reported. According to a wedding website, they were supposedly in their hometown on August 30th, serving as groomsmen at their sister Katie Gaudreau’s wedding.
Just after 8 p.m., Johnny and Matthew were riding on Country Route 551 North when a driver who appeared to be intoxicated tried to pass another automobile and struck and killed the brothers, according to a statement released by New Jersey State Police to the public at the time.
Sean M. Higgins, the driver, was detained and charged with two counts of death by auto; the police claimed that the investigation is still ongoing.
According to the statement, the suspect had been following a car and an SUV in a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
“Higgins attempted to pass the slower-moving sedan and SUV, entered the southbound lanes of travel, passed the slower-moving sedan, and attempted to re-enter the northbound lanes of travel when the SUV in front of Higgins moved to the middle of the roadway, splitting the north and south lanes to safely pass the two pedal cyclist traveling north on the right side of the roadway,” police stated.
Higgins then made an attempt to overtake the SUV on the right, but he ended up running into the two cyclists who were pedaling. The two pedal bikers who were involved in the collision suffered fatal injuries as a result,” the statement continued.
