Jennie Garth revealed how the Beverly Hills: Over the years, the ensemble of Beverly Hills, 90210 has been through a lot together. They have shown that difficult circumstances, in particular, bring people closer together, and the recent passing of Shannen Doherty, their costar, is no exception.
Doherty’s former costar Jennie Garth tells the public that the group has been coping with the loss by stating that because they have known each other since they “were all so young, it is a connection that is hard to explain.”
Leslie Sloane, Doherty’s long-time publicist, exclusively told person that the actress passed away on July 13 after a protracted battle with cancer. “Her dog, Bowie, and her loved ones surrounding the dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Recalling that Doherty was 53 when she passed away, Sloane said, “The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”
The cast of Beverly Hills, 90210 has lost Doherty twice. Following a stroke in March 2019, 52-year-old Luke Perry passed away.
Following Perry’s death, the ensemble gathered together, and with Doherty as well. The cast’s text response to the Charmed alum’s passing was glimpsed by Garth on a recent edition of her I Choose Me podcast, and she disclosed how they helped one another through that difficult period.
“No matter what, there is that relationship there, and it will be present throughout the rest of each of us and beyond,” Garth tells PERSONS. “I think is simply honoring that relationship, and we were all supportive.”
“We are reaching out to one another here and there and give one another encouragement and just say to each other we love each other,” the “What” I Like About You actress continues.
Additionally, Garth discussed the introduction of her new QVC line, Me by Jennie Garth, with Newsweek. As she approached her fiftieth birthday and began to reflect on her life’s experience, her desire to live without regrets drove her to take a significant risk on her recently launched fashion-related venture.
“Meeting the big fifty is a huge event, but it is a big deal, truly. You begin to see things in a somewhat different light,” she says. You now know with greater clarity what you want to do next and how you want to use your limited time. At the very least, I was able to express that I no longer wanted to do this, this, and this. I would rather concentrate on something else. And after that, you have the self-clarity to accept it.”
