Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush Enjoy the One Tree Hill Reboot: One Tree Hill will soon be returning!
The public can reveal that, following the conclusion of the first show twelve years ago, a remake of the popular series is currently in the early stages of development.
initial stars According to Variety, Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton, who portrayed Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer in the original series, are anticipated to reprise their roles in the reboot. Additionally, they will executively produce the film alongside former costar Danneel Ackles.
On Friday, August 30, Bush and Burton, both 42, appeared to post about the revival on Instagram, referring to it as an opportunity to “reclaim our turf” and “honor fans.”
“What if you could actually return home?” In different blogs, the actresses wrote a joint message. If there was a chance to collaborate with exceptionally talented creatives and create a venue where all of our friends could showcase their skills? possess our past? Take back our territory? Respect our supporters? Register with us.
“There is only one Tree Hill, after all,” the duo wrote in response to One Tree Hill devotees. And we have seen from you, the #OTHfam, that it is more than just an idea. “Everything’s better and everything’s safe” is indeed the case there.
In addition to the statement, Bush and Burton also posted a relatively recent picture of themselves with 45-year-old Ackles and Bevin Prince, who played Bevin Mirskey in the original series.
A wall behind them was plastered in leaflets, some of which had references to One Tree Hill school and said things like “Tree Hill’s Local Showcase” and “Ravens Cheerleader tryouts,” raising the idea that a scene was being filmed for the remake.
Additionally, Bush shared a gif of her character Brooke smiling and shrugging on her Instagram page, along with the words, “Why? ‘Cause I love you.”
On the other hand, Burton shared a gif of herself as Peyton on her profile along with the statement, “I guess I am just a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside a b-——.”
23 September 2003 saw the premiere of One Tree Hill. The popular CW original series featured the adventures of half-brothers Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), along with their friends, as they grew up in the made-up town of Tree Hill, North Carolina.
Variety reports that Warner Bros. Television, the production company behind the original series, is coming back to spearhead the relaunch. The Hollywood Reporter claims that Netflix will also likely carry the revived series.
The outlet also reports that Ackles’ spouse, Jensen Ackles, and additional executive producer Becky Hartman Edwards will be involved with the project.
When the public reached out to representatives for WBTV, Netflix, Burton and Ackles, and Bush, they did not immediately answer.
