Hayden Panettiere Shares Her Heartbreaking First Interview: The year 2023 was predicted to be extremely successful for actress Hayden Panettiere.
The star of Amber Alert, who had battled drug and alcohol addiction for many years, was clean and sober following her stay at an inpatient rehab center in the beginning of 2020. She was also unmarried, having recently ended an unpleasant relationship with her former partner, and was happy to be working on Scream 6 again.
Then, the unimaginable occurred, three weeks before the movie’s February 2023 release: her adored younger brother Jansen passed away suddenly at the age of 28 from an unidentified cardiac issue. Panettiere’s entire world fell apart.
In a recent interview for this week’s cover story, she tells people, “He was my only sibling, and it was my job to protect him.”
Following the loss of her husband, Panettiere, 35, became determined not to leave the house, especially with photographers following her.
“It was shocking to see horrifying photos taken by paparazzi of me leaving Jansen’s funeral, which was held in a very private setting,” she recalls. “I had to deal with agoraphobia, which I had previously struggled with,”
Panettiere’s body physically reacted to the shock, exacerbating her sadness and making her nearly unrecognizable in a matter of days. “I simply blew up,” she remarks, referring to her sudden increase in weight. Hayden Panettiere.
She claims that the shift was caused by the “stress and cortisol” coursing through her body, which lower her self-esteem. She claims, “I didn’t feel confident enough to dress and leave the house, but I also knew that I had to move and keep going or I would never stop feeling and looking this way.”
“It turned into a damaging hamster wheel of, do I feel good enough to go out?” the person continued.
She needed to summon the bravery to break free from her rut in order to return to work. She claims that after being introduced to personal trainer Marnie Alton by her publicist last year, everything improved.
Panettiere began her training with Alton gradually since she felt an instant connection and trust between them. She particularly enjoyed their lengthy walks together, during which time she would only chat and Panettiere would regale her about her earlier years.
She describes their walks as “these long, beautiful therapy sessions where we could vent.” I felt emboldened by Marnie. In addition to improving her mood, Panettiere’s burning fat was producing endorphins.
“It wasn’t just the exercise that caused my body to react. I was able to let go of the pressure and high standards I had always placed on myself,” the woman claims. Her agoraphobia subsided along with her insecurities. Nothing compares to feeling confident in your appearance and ready to leave the house after gazing in the mirror, the woman said. Hayden Panettiere.
She describes the fresh perspective she received after Jansen’s passing, but she is still learning how to live with loss. She says, “You really learn to pick your fights and just not let the little things upset you when something that massive has happened to you.” “Because once something so horrific, so deep, so catastrophic happens in your life, there’s not much that can really rock you.”
She’s excited for her upcoming film Amber Alert to hit theaters on September 27, but her main motivation is simply to be thankful that she’s starting to feel more and more like herself. That does not imply that she has recovered or ever will from the shock of Jansen’s passing.
“It will break my heart forever. I’m never going to be able to go past it,” she declares. “No matter how many years go by, I will never get over his loss.”
