Grace Van Patten and her boyfriend Jackson White were spotted in New York: The romance between Grace Van Patten and Jackson White has moved from the small screen into real life!
The two, who co-star in Tell Me Lies on Hulu, were spotted together in New York City on Friday, August 30. Van Patten, 27, carried a red bag while sporting an orange Adidas sneaker, matching jeans, and a dark blue top. White, 28, was dressed in pants and a dark T-shirt.
Ever since they started working together on Tell Me Lies, there have been rumors that the duo is dating. However, they didn’t officially acknowledge their relationship until they conducted a joint interview with ABC News.
It’s incredible. In an interview that ABC posted on TikTok on August 28, Van Patten stated, “We got into our first fight on camera.” “Yes, we are done with it.”
Regarding how their off-screen romance influences their on-screen chemistry, White stated, “It’s cool, we get to bring a lot of freedom and safety and we get to do whatever we want with each other because there’s so much trust there.”
“Because we’ve created such a safe, secure bubble, it’s so much easier to be vulnerable, honest, and mean to each other on camera,” Van Patten added.
After “screaming at each other at work” for a portion of the day, White claimed the two “get to relax” at home. Next, in jest, Van Patten likened filming to “couple’s therapy.”
Van Patten and White had previously expressed their affection for one another, even though this was the first time they officially announced their relationship. On a 2022 Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast episode, White expressed his hope for a romantic relationship with Van Patten, saying he had “such a crush” on him.
In 2022, White remarked, “She is the f—ing coolest, most grounded, amazing person IRL that you’ll ever meet.” On our show, she was the bold leader. At the age of 25, she manages a set as if she has been doing this for thirty years. She’s so consistent and good at this.
Meaghan Oppenheimer wrote Tell Me Lies, which is centered on the toxic relationship between Stephen DeMarco (White) and Lucy Albright (Van Patten), two college students. It is based on Carola Lovering’s book.
Van Patten stated that she felt “safe” with White in a 2022 interview with PEOPLE, which was significant given the intimate nature of the show. She added that she liked the sex scenes since they added significance to the story.
Van Patten told the public, “It shows the power dynamic in sexual in relationships.” And that really piqued my interest. Each sexual scene served a purpose, was essential to the characters and the story, and had a significance. And since you don’t see it very frequently, I truly appreciated that.”
The first two episodes of Tell Me Lies season 2 will debut on Hulu on Wednesday, September 4. The remaining episodes air once a week.
