There is always more for Ryan Reynolds to discover about his wife, Blake Lively. The 36-year-old, going by Blake Brown, just debuted her own hair care product brand. This prompted the 47-year-old actor to post something on Instagram.
Reynolds wrote on his post, “I am obscenely proud of this woman.” She has seven years of experience with @blakebrownbeauty. And the outcome is precisely what you would anticipate from a perfectionist with an obsession with detail and unwavering standards of quality control. I also recently learnt that Brown is her last name.
During a recent celebration of her product launch party in New York City, Lively gave an explanation of her decision to change her name. She revealed to the crowd that her father’s name is Brown. “My dad took Lively from my mom, which is her story to tell,” the woman claims. The story is lengthier and far more engaging. However, I simply thought that was pretty awesome.
Blake elaborated on the meaning of her name. “I have only ever gone by Blake Lively since my dad adopted the Lively name, yet Blake Brown was listed on my birth certificate and occasionally appeared in court records. It was the most personal identity I had, even if it was always something I never really stepped into.
Blake’s father, 74, died earlier this year. He costarred with her in the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants film. Another actor was Ernie Lively.
Reynolds and Lively, who have been married since 2012 and have four kids together, frequently complement one another both in public and in private. She most recently shared her love for Reynolds’s portrayals of Deadpool and Wolverine on Instagram.
She wrote, “It was a’meta’ superhero.” At the time, most of us were unaware of the precise definition of meta. There is one exception, though: Taika Waititi has always been smarter than the rest of us mortals. Everyone except for [Reynolds] was unsure about how it would all fit together for an audience, even though we understood in principle.
Both in their personal and professional life, their mutual support and admiration are still evident.
