In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the singer of Foolish reportedly told Today that the couple had given birth to a son on July 18 who they had called Kareem Kenkaide Haynes. “KK” is his nickname.
The magazine was informed by her that “his dad named him with a lot of pride.” Ashanti said that the name of her kid is an homage to the name of her own father. She went on to say that her son is now the “priority overall” and “dictates” everything.
She went on to say that she would give her kid anything, regardless of the cost or the work involved. “This little boy has my entire soul wrapped around his finger,” the singer stated.
On social media, the singer-songwriter also shared details about her and Nelly’s recent kid. On August 21, the singer posted a picture to Instagram along with a long caption. She remarked that she found it humorous that things in life did not always go as planned. Nothing could have prepared Ashanti for everything that parenthood brings, she said, adding that she had been longing to become a mother for a very long time. She provided an honest look at what it was like to be postpartum.
It is amazing to see the couple grow their relationship to new heights. For those who may not know, Asahti and Nelly dated previously in the early 2000s. After a protracted relationship, they eventually broke up, only to pick up again in 2023.
