The September 15, 2024, Emmy Awards ceremony was a memorable evening. There were many worthy awards, special red carpet moments, and gorgeous celebrities at the event.
Jeremy Allen White, star of Bear, was among them, and during the 2024 Emmys press room, he revealed new information about the upcoming biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere, which will be based on the life of singer and songwriter Bruce Springsteen. The actor declared, “I’m pretty excited to start this thing.”
While the actor did not give too much information on the impending film, he did note, “Bruce has been really lovely and supportive and available, which has made this whole process I think such an extra joy that we have his support.”
In addition, White gave credit to Jon Landau, Bruce’s manager, who plays a significant part in the movie. He continued. “So I feel really lucky, and yeah, we’re getting there.”
According to Deadline, Springsteen, also known by his nickname “The Boss,” won an Academy Award at the 66th Oscars in 1994 for writing and performing the song Streets of Philadelphia from the film Philadelphia, which was published by people. Both Springsteen and his manager John Landau are involved in the currently in-development biopic.
Variety first reported in March 2024 that White was in negotiations to play the rock icon in the biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere. The movie, which is based on the same-titled nonfiction book by author Warren Zanes, will follow the rock legend as he recorded his 1982 album Nebraska.
Six studio albums later, in the 1970s, Springsteen had his breakthrough in the music business with Nebraska. American musician and singer-songwriter renowned for his upbeat live shows and stirring lyrics. A contract has been reached by 20th Century to finance and distribute Deliver Me from Nowhere, which appears to be another biography that could win an Oscar in the future.
At the 76th Emmy Awards in 2024, Jeremy Allen White won Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series for The Bear. For the second consecutive year, the actor won the honor.
