William Zabka Remembers Castmate Chad McQueen from Karate Kid: William Zabka is honoring Chad McQueen, his co-star in the film Karate Kid.

The actor and race car driver McQueen passed away in Palm Springs on Wednesday, September 11, according to his family, who made the announcement on Thursday, September 12. He was sixty-three.

On Friday, September 13, Zabka, 58, shared an homage to the late actor. He included pictures of McQueen in The Karate Kid (1984) and The Karate Kid Part II (1986) as Dutch. Zabka also shared behind-the-scenes pictures of the cast.

Members of the cast McQueen, Zabka, Rob Garrison, Ron Thomas, and Tony O’Dell posed in their costumes in one adorable picture. Another picture features the five actors sharing an ice cream cone with Pat Morita, who portrayed Mr. Miyagi.

We mournfully lost the great Chad McQueen yesterday. “I remember so many wonderful moments with him during the ‘Karate Kid’ filming,” Zabka started. “He was genuinely unique. He made me chuckle every time he went, constantly marching to the beat of his own drum.

“In his silver Porsche, music blasting,” Zabka recalled McQueen would arrive at the Karate Kid set, while he would roll “in [his] badass Honda Accord.”

He wrote, “In the most enjoyable and fun way possible, he was the baddest of the original Cobras.”

He said, “I’m so grateful I got to rekindle our relationship over the past few years.”

It seemed as though no time had passed at all. My love and my condolences go out to his wife and family. RIP, Chadwick. You will always be my close friend and Cobra Kai’s brother 👊🏼 💔.

Ron Thomas, Zabka’s costar for McQueen, remarked on Zabka’s tweet, saying, “❤️. Our common kinship. Recollections. The anecdotes—like the one about a certain sock 😆. Bro. Chad, rest in peace. 🙏

“I am deeply grieved to learn of Chad’s demise. He was the epitome of the Dutch. In his Instagram post from September 12, Thomas said, “He was a true ‘Wild Child,’ but with a heart of gold and so much fun to be around.” “If things got too monotonous during those long shoot days, we could always rely on Chad to spice things up.” So many happy recollections. So many tales. I send my sincerest sympathies to his whole family. 🙏

“I’m sure you’re hitting hard in that Divine Dojo and moving quickly through the streets of heaven,” he said. Avoid getting pulled over by the cops at all costs, or else you know what will happen—you’ll be late for the set! 👊❤️ My Cobra brother, rest in peace.

The late actor was Steve McQueen’s son, the legendary actor in Hollywood. He pursued careers as an actor and race car driver, carrying on his father’s legacy. Before quitting to pursue sports car racing in the 1990s, he starred in the films Death Ring, Firepower, and Red Line. Fall: The Price of Silence, released in 2001, was his one and only appearance.
