The singer’s father, Jeremy Bieber, 49, revealed on Saturday, August 24, what seemed to be his response to Justin and Hailey Bieber welcoming their son Jack and making an announcement about his arrival the previous day.
Jeremy merely typed “Papa” in a simple message on X (previously Twitter), which appeared to be a sweet remark at his son’s new position.
In an Instagram post the day prior, Justin, 30, announced the arrival of his son Jack. He also followed the family custom of calling his son after himself, his father, and a few of his siblings, all of whom had the initials “JB.”
WELCOME HOME,” he posted on Instagram beside an up-close picture of his baby boy’s feet. JACK BIEBER BLUES 🐻. Hailey, 27, reshared the image on her Instagram Stories, adding emojis of a blue heart and a bear. This is the couple’s first kid.
The 16-year-old half-sister of Justin, Jazmyn Bieber, posted her first-ever online response to being an aunt on August 24. She reshared the singer’s initial announcement of Jack’s arrival on her Instagram Stories, complete with a sobbing face and a white love emoji.
Pattie Mallette, an author and Justin’s mother, had also shared on her Instagram Stories the previous day how happy she was about the baby’s arrival. It was described by her as a “miracle.”
Mallette, 49, wrote, “OH MY HEART,” over Justin’s photo of the infant’s foot. “HELLO, JACK THE BABY! I adore you incredibly!😭😭😭👠👠👹🐹🥹.”
“Glory to God! What a miracle! 🎉💃🙌,” she continued.
Malette has only one son, Justin, and Jack’s birth makes her and Jeremy grandparents for the first time. Before Justin was born in 1994, the former couple had already broken up.
In a subsequent joyful post on X regarding Jack’s birth, Malette stated, “😭😭😭😭😭😭 🥹🥹🐹🫠🫠🙠 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 HURRAH @justinbieber & Hailey “, she posted, tagging her daughter-in-law. “I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!”
Mallette’s tweet was reposted by Hailey’s father, Stephen Baldwin, who added, “Amen, Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.”
Back in May, Justin and Hailey made their joint pregnancy announcement. Hailley’s representative at the time told PEOPLE that the model was slightly over six months pregnant.
The couple first got married in a New York City courthouse in September 2018 and have been together for nearly six years. In 2019, they commemorated with a grander ceremony in Bluffton, South Carolina, surrounded by loved ones.
