Is Joker 3 a possibility after Joker: Folie à Deux had such a fantastic start? Todd Phillips offers a significant update.
Joker: Fans are in awe as Folie à Deux gradually rises to the top of the box office. The movie has raised a lot of anticipation with its powerful portrayal of the Joker and the arrival of Harley Quinn in its sequel. It is scheduled for release this year, and people are becoming very excited about it already. Still, there is one unanswered question: Is a third Joker saga installment possible? Let us investigate that potential.
By turning an action-packed supervillain story into a Broadway musical, director Todd Phillips has lifted the bar dramatically and revolutionised the filmmaking industry. Fans can expect a lot from the story of Batman’s archenemy, the Joker, which is entwined with his romance with Quinn. This is the first superhero musical movie of its kind because of the musical backdrop for the Joker.
The director of Joker: Folie à Deux disclosed in an open discussion that he will not be helming the third film. With Joker 2, he claimed that his creative endeavours are complete and that “what was supposed to be said is done.” He went on to say that while filming the picture was enjoyable, it will be his final undertaking.
Not only is Phillip not directing Joker 3, but he even hinted that it might be in the books. He declared that his role as The Joker is finished after directing two Joker-themed films. “That chapter is closed, whatever I could have added to Aurthur’s life,” declared the director. Fans will witness a new aspect of the clown prince in Joker 2, distinct from what is shown in the comics.
Todd Phillips talked on his contented acceptance of collaborating with Joaquin Phoenix on a strong screenplay, aside from the Joker franchise. He said Phoenix had great acting and that they could collaborate on a comedic project. Fans already like Joaquin for playing Arthur Fleck, aka Joker, in his comeback appearance.
Todd praised the actor, saying Phoenix was an excellent fit for the musical drama-action film. Bringing Joaquin on board for a comedy role will be exciting, according to Todd, who has helmed films including The Hangover trilogy and Due Date “because he is loose and funny.”
Regarding the film, it tells the story of Arthur Fleck’s life. While recuperating at Arkham State Hospital, he encounters Lady Gaga’s character Harley Quinn, the love of his life, despite his unsuccessful profession. After being freed, he starts an exciting and criminal adventure to make his life less unpleasant. October 4 of this year is the scheduled global release date for the film.
